The Legend of Word Web

A spider's web is one of nature's greatest feats of engineering — every strand connected, every junction bearing weight. Word Web was inspired by this marvel: the understanding that all knowledge is a web of connections, and wisdom means knowing which threads tie which concepts together.

In the Word Web challenge, a set of terms appears on one side and their definitions or pairs on the other. Your task is to draw the correct connections — matching each term to what it corresponds to.

The challenge lies in the distractors: similar terms and near-synonyms that tempt you into wrong connections. A warrior who understands the *distinctions* between concepts — not just the definitions — excels at Word Web. It is the favorite question type of philosophy scholars and linguists.
